Coast Guard Night is an Annual Event which celebrates the efforts of the exemplary men and women of the US Coast Guard District Seven and features an update of Sector Miami operations. This event, which is one of our most popular events of the year, is hosted by the US Coast Guard Sector Miami at its base off the MacArthur Causeway near Miami Beach.

At Coast Guard Night 2017, escorted tours of two USCG vessels from their Small Boat Section  –  a 42-ft. Reserve Boat Medium (RBM) and a 33-ft. Law Enforcement Special Purpose Craft (SPC-LE) were offered during an extended Cocktail Hour (5:30 to 7:00 PM).  Following the usual great buffet dinner served by our caterer Sidewalk Salads, the program was presented by Captain of the Port Megan Dean along with several members of her staff.  Besides giving an overview of Sector Miami’s activities over the past year, the main focus of the presentation was on Sector Miami’s many efforts following Hurricane Irma.  All in all, a most interesting program, and it helped make for another excellent Coast Guard Night!
